Zelma Singletary July 8, 1921 - February 22, 2010
Zelma Singletary of McGregor passed away Monday, February 22, 2010. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 26, at McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, at Brazos Funeral Home.
Zelma, along with a twin sister, Thelma Stacy, was born July 8, 1921 in Walnut Ridge, Arizona to Jacob and Janie Niswonger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Hollis Singletary in 2006; twin sons, Ronald and Donald; son, Allen in 1954; brothers, Manuel Niswonger, Virgil Niswonger, Truel Niswonger, Marvin Niswonger, Duel Niswonger and two sisters, Edith Christian and Wilma Williams.
She is survived by daughter Lois Burns, and Jim DuPree of Robinson, TX; son, Bill Singletary and wife. Trudy of McGregor; grandchildren, Michael Singletary and wife, Claudia; Stephanie Lane and husband, Jonathan; Chris Du Pree and wife, Barbara; Kathy Goff and husband, Jerry; 11 grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.and twin sisters, Teresa and Thelma Stacy of Grand Junction, Colorado. Thanks to Providence Hospital and Providence Hospice and Greenview Manor; extra special thanks to Shayla of Providence Hospice; Sh Angel and to Fannie of Greenview Manor, who treated her so special; and to all the doctors and nurses of Hospice and St. Catherine.
